About
In the beginning
Ann's Running Commentary came about because of my wonderful sister-in-law, Angie Brennan. I had been writing for a few months, posting what I wrote on other people's blogs or worse, leaving them on files on my computer. I wanted to share my writing, but I was nervous. Then one night, as I was cooking dinner with my kids I received a text.
You have a blog. It's called Ann's Running Commentary and here's your password.
Truthfully, I didn't believe anybody would be interested in my writing. But they were. The more nervous I became about a particular post, the more people responded. People related.
Seven years later, life and this blog have evolved. I am no longer running due to a severe back injury. I miss it every day but I am learning to cope. I am biking and learning to love a different endurance sport.
I am also learning to admit that my life is about more than running. That my writing is about more than running.
My blog is about life. Life as a former runner, an Ironman, a cyclist and a mom. Life as a reader, a business owner and an author. I hope you will find something here that inspires you. Something that touches you. Something that makes you say, "That's exactly how I feel." And something that encourages you to come back and follow my journey.
